The platypus, native to Australia, is one of the most peculiar creatures on Earth. It is often referred to as a "living fossil" due to its unique combination of characteristics. With a duck-bill, webbed feet like an otter, and a beaver-like tail, this semi-aquatic mammal baffles scientists with its diverse features. Moreover, males possess venomous spurs on their hind legs, an extremely rare trait among mammals. Platypuses are also masterful swimmers, using their webbed feet to propel themselves gracefully through the water. Their ability to locate prey underwater is enhanced by a sixth sense called electroreception, enabling them to detect electric fields produced by their prey. These extraordinary features and adaptations make the platypus an intriguing and enigmatic creature in the animal kingdom.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. Do not leave outside. Do not leave on or near a heat source such as a radiator.

As all animals are hand carved and hand painted, they are each unique. This is part of the beauty and value of Wudimals. There will always be very slight variations in fine details, so no one else in the world has exactly the same animal as you!
